Job Summary
As part of our growing food offering at Sacred Grounds, we’re introducing a new role focused on food prep and service. This team member will take ownership of all made-to-order food and cold drinks - from sandwiches and breakfast bowls to pasties, smoothies, and juices - helping improve workflow and streamline the counter experience.
You’ll work primarily in our small prep area (aka “the kitchen”), fulfilling food orders via a KDS system. When service is quiet, you’ll support the wider team by clearing tables, helping with the dishwasher, and running orders out to guests. You won’t be expected to make coffee, but if you’re curious and it’s quiet, you’re welcome to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare all food orders: sandwiches, breakfast bowls, avocado toast, heated pasties
- Make smoothies and fresh juices to order
- Monitor the food KDS and fulfil orders promptly and accurately
- Maintain the food prep area: restock, rotate, and clean as needed
- Replenish grab-and-go items when necessary
- When quiet: clear tables, run orders, and support with dishwashing
About You
- Comfortable working independently in a small prep space
- Well-organised with good time management under pressure
- Food hygiene aware and cleanliness-focused
- Friendly, collaborative, and happy to muck in where needed
- Barista experience not required - but a plus if interested
