We are a micro speciality coffee roastery located in East London, near Cambridge Heath in a railway arch. We are performing artisan coffee roasting to perfection on a 12kg Diedrich gas powered roaster, working on Cropster software. We are looking for someone who will have a hybrid role as a part time Roaster (2 days a week, Monday & Tuesday) to prepare and roast different types of single origin coffees to different roast levels and perform contract roasting as service to our clients and a part time Barista (covering Wednesday and Sunday shifts) with plenty of possibilities for future growth with the company towards green coffee importing and coffee farm relationship management.

Roaster Responsibilities: - organise and maintain the Roastery - operate a 12kg Diedrich IR-12 & a 1kg Stronghold sample roaster - create & optimise roasting profiles together with the head roaster - prepare & manage green beans and optimise Roasted Bean storage - organise cupping sessions (and assimilate the cupping results using Cropster Cup - assist with creating new recipes and blends of coffee when required - roast and fulfill orders on a weekly basis - assist with bagging & sealing roasted coffee - sample roasting & cupping new coffees - assist with delivering coffee orders, placing/receiving product orders - clean, protect and maintain all equipment

Customer Success Responsibilities - Maintain relationships with current clients - Hold trainings as required - Help with on-site trainings - Help in securing new client - New business development

Barista Responsibilities: - Serve speciality coffee beverages with unmatched quality and attention to detail. - Fine-tune espresso dial-ins and pour-over coffees to achieve optimal extraction and flavour. - Warmly engage customers, share your coffee passion, and guarantee an outstanding customer experience. - Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and equipment. - Engage in cupping sessions and tastings and contribute to decisions about future imports.

Requirements: Must have at least 12 months of experience in speciality coffee. Must have a self-starter attitude, excellent time management skills. Must be team spirited and have a flexible can-do attitude. Must have passion in speciality coffee and interest in growing with a company. Nice to have someone who can relate to the term ‘nerdy’ with details and thirst for knowledge.
