Job Overview:

We’re on the hunt for an experienced and passionate Barista to join our vibrant Putney café team.

This isn’t just about pulling a good shot — we’re looking for someone with genuine love for coffee, great energy, and the ability to lead by example. You’ll be our go-to coffee expert, help guide the team in quality and service, and play a key part in shaping the customer experience.

Responsibilities

Serve consistently high-quality Coffee, with great attention to detail.

Maintain a clean, organised and efficient station at all times.

Support and mentor junior baristas — sharing knowledge, setting the pace, and upholding high standards of service and quality.

Open and close the coffee bar, including dial-in and machine maintenance.

Help with ordering.

Engage warmly with customers, creating a welcoming and relaxed café atmosphere.

Collaborate closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth daily service.

Contribute to a positive team culture where everyone feels supported and empowered.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years experience as a barista in a busy, specialty coffee environment.

Excellent dial-in skills, knowledge of espresso equipment, and ability to troubleshoot.

Strong free-pour latte art and a high standard of drink presentation.

Natural leadership qualities — approachable, communicative, and supportive.

Friendly, team-focused mindset with a love for working in hospitality.

Strong time management, multitasking skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.

A passion for great coffee and a curiosity to keep learning.
